After spending about a month in the hospital after suffering a series of strokes, Robert Morgan, aged 70, of Cottage Grove, passed away on December 2, 2010.  

Robert, born February 29, 1940, graduated from Cottage Grove High School and made a career of the Air Force.  At the time of his death, he lived in Las Vegas, Nevada.  He was retired from the Air Force and had been the Manager of the Electronic Engineering Department at the MGM Grand for over ten years.  

While in the Air Force, he played music (guitar) with many well-known bands and traveled all over the world.

Robert is survived by his wife of 35 years, Kazako, who continues to live in Las Vegas.

Robert's son, Troy lives in Bonney Lake WA.  He had no grandchildren. His sister Elda Vaye Ueland (Morgan) passed away in 2009.  His brother Cread Morgan lives in Longview WA, and brother Dennis Morgan lives in Lamar, Arkansas.   Shirey, Robert's sister, lives in Condon, OR.  He had numerous nieces and nephews.

Robert's ashes were scattered during a private family ceremony at the Morgan's old homesite at Silk Creek, Cottage Grove, Oregon, where they all grew up.  The ceremony was attended by Cread and Linda Morgan, their daughter, Laura DeGenereax of Camas, Washington, and Kent and Shirey (Morgan) Helsdon and Shirey's daughter, Dawn McGeHee of Cottage Grove.
