: Ward, David A. : Rocke Warren August 09, 2010, 10:25:46 AM A celebration of life will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, at 85101 Chezem Road in Eugene for David Anderson Ward of Eugene, who died Aug. 5, 2010, following a heart attack. He was 70.
He was born Oct. 24, 1938, in Dorena to Verlin and Esther Eastburn Ward. He married Leah Pullen on Sept. 25, 1959, in Cottage Grove. Ward graduated from Cottage Grove High School in 1956. He retired from Egge Sand & Gravel in 2003, where he was maintenance supervisor. He also worked as a diesel mechanic and at Future Logging. Survivors include his wife; a son, Chris Ward of Eugene; a daughter, Carla Keenom of Harrisburg; a brother, Verlin of Cottage Grove; a sister, Anita Hughes of Longview, Wash.; and four grandchildren.
