Norton, Leonard (Len)

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 28, at Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Eugene for Leonard E. ?Len? Norton of Eugene. He was 69. The family chose not to list the cause of death.

He was born Sept. 7, 1939, in Crescent, Iowa, to Norman and Blanche Little Norton. He married Shizuno Iawayama on June 7, 1961, in Japan.

Norton graduated from Cottage Grove High School. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked for Trus Joist Lumber Mill for 33 years, retiring in 2003.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Mark and Casey, both of Eugene, and Michael of Springfield; and three grandchildren.
