A memorial service and potluck was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010 at the Cottage Grove VFW Hall for Linda Lea Vaughn of Drain, who died Oct. 10, 2010 of colon cancer. She was 70.
She was born Oct. 2, 1940, in Cottage Grove to Fred and Juanita Counts Cranmer. She married Robert Vaughn on Nov. 28, 1957, in Culp Creek. He died in 1996.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include three sons, Rob of Creswell, Chuck of Drain and Boe of Marcola; a daughter, Cindy Jones of Alameda, Calif.; domestic partner Tom Wheeler; two sisters, Bea Mathis and Bunny Basilette, both of Cottage Grove; a brother, Dean Cranmer of Cottage Grove; 18 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
