Wife: Julie

In August of 1006, Orval and Julie moved from Martinez (San Francisco Bay area) to the rural eastern Sierras of northern Mono County, CA, which is about an hour south of Carson City, Nevada via Highway 395. Orval?s time is mostly spent working the land, moving rocks, landscaping, planting trees, shrubs, gardening and helping neighbors with their projects. He also belongs to the Lions Club International and a couple other local organizations.

Playing the piano for the Methodist church on Sunday mornings is a blessing to him. Early on Thursday mornings, Orval meets with a group of men from the three churches for breakfast and Bible discussion. Compared to the city, this area is quiet and relaxing. Antelope Valley has three communities with a total population of around 1,200 people. Orval and Julie love it there.

Orval has two children and six grandchildren ranging in age from 1 to 19. Julie has three children and five grandchildren ranging in age from 1 to 6 with another coming. Orval and Julie look forward to seeing the grandchildren occasionally.
