Minutes - February 19, 2013

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Dennis Chapman at 11:30 a.m.

Dennis asked the thirty-three attendees to introduce themselves.

Dennis presented the budget and discussed the expenses that will be upcoming. There will be no change in price of tickets for the reunion of 2013.

A discussion was held on the amount to donate for the scholarship awarded by Old Schoolmates. Mae Westfall Cook moved to donate $1000 for the award. Mike Chapman seconded the motion and the scholarship award will be $1000. Mae Westfall Cook will present the award to the winning student on May 29, 2013 at the high school. Discussion about who should receive the award followed and it was decided that, if possible, the student should plan a major in Educatioon.

Dennis reported that Class of 1943 will need a represnetative since Betty Deere is no longer able to represent the class. Marsha Allen reported, through Dennis, to take everyone off the class of 1941 list.

The next meeting will be March 19, 2013, 11:30 a.m. at Stacy's in Cottage Grove.
